Leaders in Occupational Health and Safety
In recognition of CRCMining’s ongoing commitment to safety, the Centre’s Pinjarra Hills and Bracalba Quarry research areas were recertified under the NCS International AS/NZS 4801:2001 certification for safety management.The certification, which was initially awarded in February 2007 for three years, endorses CRCMining with the highest recognised level of OHS management available in Australia. In their assessment, auditors from NCS International recorded no minor non-conformances. This was a reduction from the five minor non-conformances recorded in the initial audit. CRCMining OHS Manager Matt Stockwell said the reduction showed that the Centre had achieved a significant safety improvement over the past three years. Date Released: 1 November 2009
